Mission
Meaningful local initiation is crucial to the successful and long-term conservation of biodiversity and environment. Public participation in natural resource conservation will be generated by strengthening their capacity, fair and equitable benefit sharing.

CBEC, through participatory action research, explores the effective ways for better utilization and management of biodiversity and environment to achieve better livelihood.

It promotes the indigenous knowledge, shares the information and strengthens the institutional capacity and human resource development.

CBEC also assists community people for managing their natural resources in sustainable manner and strengthen them in planning, utilization and implementation for better management.
